Background:
Lapworth School is a primary school founded by Warwickshire Education Authority and as a church school controlled by the Birmingham Diocese. The school dates back to 1828 when it was established next to the village church in what was then a quiet leafy corner of Warwickshire. Nowadays, Lapworth School occupies a modern single storey building built in 1990 and set in a large landscaped area in the heart of the village in Station Lane. Facilities include four semi open plan classrooms, two large practical areas, one outside classroom, a hall, a small classroom, a dedicated computer suite, resource room and an administrative area all grouped around new information and resource area. There are two attractive playgrounds and extensive grassed areas with two football pitches, long jump and high jump pits. There is a conservation area at the lower end of the playing fields. Lapworth School's Catchment area covers an extensive area, which includes the villages of Rowington, Lowsonford and Baddesley Clinton and part of Shrewley.
