Background:
Opened in 1976, Bilbrook Middle School is equipped with a science laboratory, art studio, food technology room, design and technology workshop, two computer rooms with access to the internet and a hall. The school's extra-curricular activities include a choir, orchestra, recorder group and training in rugby, football, hockey, basketball and netball. There are opportunities for residential visits and an outdoor education course for pupils in Year 6 and a trip to France for Years 7 and 8. Community links are important to Bilbrook, which holds adult education classes in the evenings and a luncheon club for senior citizens, and parents are encouraged to play an active part in the life of the school through the PTA. The school is oversubscribed in all but one year group.
