Background:

Tividale Community Primary School opened as a 'Fresh Start' school in September 2000. It caters for pupils between the ages of three and 11 and has 14 single age, mixed ability classes, plus nursery. The school building is a mixture of old and new development. It has two halls, a library, an ICT suite with 30 computers and interactive whiteboards in every classroom. In the school grounds it has four playgrounds. It also has direct access to Tividale park, which it uses as its playing field. The school provides a range of extra-curricular activities which include football, netball, cricket, rounders, athletics, keep fit, dance, skipping, choir, brass, violin and cello groups, and French. It also gives great importance to school visits which may include residential trips. The school'strives to offer a secure and stimulating environment which meets the individual needs of all children on an equal opportunities basis. The development of mutual respect and quality relationships is at the heart of all the school does.
