Background:
Ulverley School was first opened in 1949 and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in December 1999. The school provides excellent facilities with a specialist computer room, three large halls for physical education, drama, indoor games and music and a large well-equipped library and infant learning resource centre. Sporting facilities include extensive grounds with two playgrounds, football, netball, cricket and athletics facilities. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include cross-country, cricket, netball, rounders, hockey, rugby, athletics and tennis. The school aims to provide a learning environment, which seeks to challenge pupils to achieve to the maximum of their ability.
