Founded in 1964; pupils from Catholic and non-Catholic backgrounds; also many from non-Christian faiths: 'We are a truly multi-ethnic school.' Links with St Teresa's Church. Children active in fundraising at various times of year: MacMillan Fund, CAFOD, and local charities. Success for football and netball teams; also Catholic Schools' swimming gala and athletics meeting. Annual "VE Day" party for Year 6 and their parents to celebrate end of SATs, and the "Big Production", involving all the school at end of summer term. Curriculum strengths include literacy and mathematics. Wide range of sporting activities: football, cricket, netball, rounders, dry-slope skiing, sailing, tennis, basketball, dance, and riding. Aston championship netball winners; Aston league football winners. Extra-curricular activities include theatre visits, geography field trips, visits to places of historical interest. Over-subscribed, with four applications per place. Parents involved in all aspects of school. DfES achievement award.
