Background:
Menzies High School was originally known as West Bromwich Municipal Secondary School in 1902. It later became a grammar school to its present site in 1964. In 1969 the school became an 11 to 18 comprehensive school. The school has benefited form the building of a three-storey block, which provides superb facilities for general teaching as well as very high standard of provision for business studies and information technology. Many sporting interests are catered for through a wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs. These activities included football, gymnastics, short tennis, cricket, badminton, athletics, netball, rounders and outdoor and adventurous activities. The school aims to provide a structured, profitable and enjoyable environment within which the personal growth of all pupils towards physical, intellectual, emotional or spiritual maturity is promoted.
