St. Mary of the Angels School was opened in January 1964. It is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary School predominantly for Catholic girls and boys aged from three-11 years. The school is sited on a modern housing estate which is in close proximity to the Catholic Church and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Comprehensive School. There are eight good-sized classrooms, a large multi-purpose hall, a library and a computer suite. There is a large playground, sizeable playing field and lawned areas.
