Background:
St Peter's College founded in 1974 from the merger of Olton Court Convent (founded in 1903) and Bishop Glancey High School (founded in 1965). The school is within the Birmingham Archdiocese and within the boundary of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. The surroundings of the school are largely residential, being situated on the southwest side of Solihull standing on the edge of large Parkland. School's new buildings consist of sports hall, library and sixth form centre. The school curriculum is enriched by a host of extra-curricular activities. These activities include athletics, drama, tennis, art, wind band, dance, chess, cookery club, orchestra and soccer. The school aims to educate pupils in a Catholic atmosphere so that the Gospel message can be related to everyday life and to adult work and living.
