Background:

Grange Farm Primary opened in large grounds in a pleasant southern suburb of Coventry in 1966. The school offers an environmental area, a quiet play area with table tops for chess and other board games, a butterfly garden, a large playing field and a petanque pitch. Visiting teachers provide optional lessons in guitar, violin, piano, saxophone, keyboard, flute and clarinet. Pupils may join the choir or groups for guitar, 'fun music' and recorders. Football, athletics, cross country running, country dancing, rounders and short tennis are also provided as extra-curricular activities. The 'active' parent-teacher association arranges fundraising and social events. The over-subscribed school is particularly 'committed to to raising standards through the use of information and communication technology'.
