Background:
Redhouse Junior Mixed and Infant School was opened in 1958, originally as two separate schools - Infant and Junior. In 1987 the schools were amalgamated and in 1992 were rationalised onto one site. The school is situated to the east of the Borough of Walsall, on the fringe of the West Midlands conurbation but separated from it by Green Belt land. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include rugby, soccer, netball, football, cricket and hockey. The school aims to provide a learning environment where children and staff are motivated and challenged to fulfil and exceed potential.
