Background:
Founded in 1951, Whitmore Park Primary is set in large grounds in a suburb of Coventry and 'thrives on the multicultural mix which provides it with a tapestry of traditions'. Facilities have recently been enhanced to include a science park, an environmental area and a 'trim trail' to support the PE curriculum. There is a playing field which includes a football pitch during the winter and an athletics track and rounders pitch in the summer. Children can also participate in netball, basketball, dance, gymnastics, swimming and lacrosse. Children with special needs are supported within the classroom. 'The aim of our school is to continue to promote a family atmosphere where staff and children can succeed, be valued and trusted'.
