Background:
Binley Woods is a one form entry primary school established in 1997. The area served by the school is a village in Warwickshire that is situated on the outskirts of Coventry. An increasing number of the pupils, currently 25 percent, come from outside the catchment area. The school is set in extensive grounds backing onto woodland. There is a well established curriculum and a good range of extra curricular activities are available to all children. The school aims to provide a welcoming, safe, secure and stimulating environment; promote a positive attitude to learning in pupils from their arrival in school; provide a broad and balanced curriculum which fulfils the National Curriculum requirements and encourage self-discipline, an understanding of right and wrong and a sense of responsibility.
