Background:
Meadow View opened in 1993 following the amalgamation of Doe Bank Junior and Collingwood Primary. Refurbishment of the building commenced in 1993 and, at present, facilities include a large gymnastics hall, kitchen and dining room, two 'well-stocked' libraries, a kiln room, two large playgrounds, an adventure playground and playing fields. The school also has 'modern' computers, with internet access, in each teaching base. Extra-curricular activities include football, netball, cross country, golf academy, athletics, conversational French, music groups and craft activities. Meadow View has 'sound' links with its local community including churches, shops, secondary schools and a local hospice. Local and national charities are also supported.
