Background:
Built in 1890, Earlsdon Primary is housed in a two storey building on the edge of the high street. The local public library is located next door and the school grounds are 'very small'. There are 14 extra-curricular clubs and activities, including orchestra, choir, recorders, short tennis, running and chess. The school is 'closely involved' in the local community and has an 'active' parent teacher association. The special educational needs (SEN) co-ordinator works with teachers and outside agencies to ensure provision is appropriate to children's needs and two education assistants provide support to pupils in class. A breakfast club operates from 8.00am and after-school care is available until 5.30pm.
