Background:

Mill Lodge Primary School was built in 1970. There is a private nursery on the site, which takes babies from six weeks to three years old. There are before and after-school clubs. The school building has two levels. On the ground floor there are six classrooms, a temporary building, a multi-purpose hall, offices, and a music and learning support room. On the first floor there is one classroom area, a dedicated information technology room (which houses a network of sixteen PCs), a junior library, and a resources and reprographics area. There is a large playground with two netball courts, a small playground, a quiet area, and a playing field with two football pitches. There is a separate play area for nursery and reception children. The school aims to provide a secure, happy environment in which children can learn and develop effectively.
