Background:
Founded in 1902, the school is of Victorian style, and is one of the last village schools in Birmingham. There are two playing fields, an environmental studies area and a Princess Diana memorial garden. The school is situated on the border of Birmingham and Warwickshire, within Minworth village in a rural/urban area. Extra-curricular activities include hockey, football, choir, gardening, drama and swing club. The children are offered residential trips to Holland or Germany and to an outdoor activities camp at Woodlands. Community links include local industries, elderly residential homes, a publishing company and a playgroup. Minworth also has an artist in residence. Children raise funds for both local and international charities. The school aims to ensure that every child receives an inclusive education, allowing them to fulfil their ultimate potential at all levels and in all curriculum areas.
