Background:
North Manor Primary School was opened in 1962. In infants, there are seven classrooms, one of which forms the computer suite, a multipurpose hall, cloakrooms and adjoining toilets serving all of the classrooms. In the juniors, there is a two-storey section with eight classrooms, adjoining toilets, a multipurpose hall and a library in the entrance hall. It has two playgrounds, one for juniors and one for infants. The national curriculum covers the following subjects: English, mathematics, science, physical education, music, art, design technology, information and communication technology, history, geography, religious education, physical, social and health education. The school endeavours to promote a happy atmosphere, in which children are encouraged to develop patience, good manners and a respect for others.
