Background:
Founded in 1847 the school is the oldest state educational institution in Wolverhampton and has a tradition of academic, cultural and sporting excellence, nourished by Christian spiritual and moral values. The school is situated in a parkland site on the western borders of Wolverhampton and Staffordshire, the Judd School is one of only three voluntary aided schools in the Lichfield Diocese and one of only a few state schools affiliated to the Woodward Foundation of Church Schools. The school has extensive on-site sports facilities, a technology college with links to industry, a new chapel, sixth form centre and theatre and successful art and music. A caring and purposeful Christian community, the school seeks to uphold the highest academic and cultural standards.
