Background:
The original Water Orton Primary School was opened in 1878. In 1980, the school became separate First and Middle schools. In September 1994 as a result of the re-organisation of schools in North Warwickshire, Water Orton First and Middle Schools merged to become a co-educational primary school, catering for pupils between the ages of four and 11. The school is well resourced with good facilities for teaching and learning. There are two multi-purpose halls, a music room, an ICT suite and library facilities for all Key Stages. The school grounds are extensive and include a large playing field, three hard play surfaces and areas set aside for wildlife study. The school has ramps for disabled people. There are a number of flourishing clubs and activities, which are held during lunchtime and after-school. There is a choir and an orchestra, both of which meet regularly. Competitive games and sporting activities take place regularly throughout the year. Children also have the opportunity to visit a variety of places of interest. The school aims to provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment where every individual is valued and where children are motivated to achieve their fullest all-round potential.
