Background:
Situated to the west of Coventry, Leigh Primary draws pupils from four local parishes. Children come from a 'variety' of backgrounds and there are a number of pupils with special educational needs (SEN). The school was built in 1966 and comprises a 'light and spacious' single storey building. The 'attractive' grounds have been 'carefully developed to enhance the curriculum and provide a stimulating environment for children and staff'. Facilities include a large assembly hall, 'well stocked' library and information and communication technology (ICT) suite. The school has a differentiation co-ordinator who 'ensures entitlement for both special needs and gifted and talented pupils'.
